How this site is built

Pages are rendered on the server and work before any JavaScript loads. Navigation menus and question panels are native disclosure elements, so they open with a keyboard and announce their state to a screen reader without extra wiring. Date entry uses the native date input, which means your device's own date picker, the one you already know.

Every interactive element shows a visible focus outline, and there is a skip link to the main content as the first thing in the tab order. Every photograph carries a description written by the owner about that specific room or view, rather than a filename or a repeated house name. Every image reserves its own space before it loads, so the page does not jump under your cursor while you are reading it.

If you have asked your device to reduce motion, the photographs stop moving on hover and in-page links stop animating their scroll. The cookie choice, if you are asked one, is a strip at the bottom of the page rather than a box over it: it does not trap your keyboard, it does not stop you scrolling, and it is the last thing in the tab order rather than the first.

Where we know it falls short

The location map on each property page is an OpenStreetMap frame. Panning and zooming inside it needs a pointer, and we do not control what it announces. Nothing is only in the map: the town, the neighbourhood, the season, and what is nearby are all written out in text on the same page, and the exact address arrives with your booking rather than on the map at all.

Property tour videos load YouTube's own player when you click them, and its controls and captions are theirs rather than ours. Where a video has no captions, that is the owner's original upload and not something this site strips out. Nothing that matters is only in a video.

This site has been built to these rules rather than audited against them. No formal WCAG conformance review has been carried out by anybody independent, so this page describes care taken, not a certificate earned. We would rather say that than claim a level nobody has tested.
