Our Stay was absolutely amazing! Our group was my five daughters, some of my nieces and my daughter’s two best friends along with her boss. We were there to celebrate my youngest daughter’s bachelorette. Having the pool and the hot tub was a major perk as we stayed out there most of the time . The short walk to the beach was also very nice. The kitchen had everything we needed to make our dinners. Everything was very clean when we got there and all of the beds were very comfy. Our host was Amazing and quickly responded when I had a question. I would highly recommend this place for any family vacation or girls weekend.

We loved our experience at The Escapes!This was our first time in Destin so we weren’t sure exactly where to stay while booking. This is an amazing location and easy walk to the beach which was wonderful for the kids! It was close enough to stores, but didn’t feel like we were in the hustle of main road or streets. House is well put together and laid out perfectly to fit 10 guests and never felt crowded. We noticed many larger homes in neighborhood, but loved this moderate size for our families. We loved kitchen and large dinning table as we did a lot of cooking in the home. The washer and dryer were amazing to have! Our families spent so much time in the pool! It was perfect! It had a more secluded yard so it felt very private with no other houses to one side nor behind. We would highly recommend this house! Thank you Dave for a great experience!

This property was beautiful and had all of the amenities that you could ask for. The host was very attentive and was in constant communication. The beach was a short walk away. The only thing that would make it even better is a beach golf cart! I still give this property a 10/10. We will plan to use this property in the future.

Beautiful space with great amenities. Had everything we needed from beach towels, beach chairs, wagon etc. pool and hot tub were perfect. Plenty of space, beautiful well kept home. Lots of little extras that help like sandwich bags, plastic wrap, trash bags, dish soap and pods, plenty of cookware and dishes, bath towels, etc. Grill and fire pit with the snores kit was also wonderful. Home was clean. Our Family enjoyed every bit of our stay. Easy walk to the beach as well!

The home was very clean and well appointed with many comforts of home…. This is truly a place that you only need to bring your toothbrush and clothes! Beach towels, beach toys, beach chairs, pool and sandbox toys are bountiful! We appreciated the nice selections of coffee and tea provided! Although we did not take advantage of the opportunity to make some mores on the fire pit we did enjoy the chocolate bars! This is a place that you feel “at home” not like you are staying at a “rental” property.

Our stay was a true vacation. Everything about the stay was over the moon relaxing. They thought of everything. I was a little bummed I forgot to bring my coffee and hibiscus tea, but they had both ready to go! The hot tub and heated pool was perfect, especially in the mornings. This and their other properties are on the top of my list🤍

This was our second stay at this property . The home is very welcoming and clean. Accommodated my family of 10 comfortably. Short walk to the Beautiful Beach! Something to entertain everybody of every age :) The pool & hot tub definitely a plus! Day and night. Was fine with just spending time together at the home and enjoying each other‘s company making memories with each other :) From playing in the sandbox with the grandkids, to making s’mores around the fire pit with the teenagers…. The host are super sweet! They’re extremely kind and were very helpful & generous to my family. Responded rapidly to ANY question we had. They made everything from check-in to check-out go very smoothly. Definitely recommend!! 10/10

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at The Escapes by Dave & Shannon! The property was exactly as described—if anything, it exceeded our expectations. Everything was spotless upon arrival, and it was clear that great care goes into maintaining the home.The standout feature for us was definitely the pool and hot tub. They provided the perfect place to relax, unwind, and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. Whether starting the day with a swim or ending the evening in the hot tub, it truly elevated the entire experience and made our stay feel like a luxury getaway.The house was stocked with everything we needed for a comfortable and stress-free stay. From the thoughtful selection of toiletries to the well-equipped amenities, no detail was overlooked. The beds were exceptionally comfortable, ensuring a restful night's sleep after fun-filled days.We also loved the location. It was just a short, easy walk to the beach while still offering plenty of privacy and serenity. It was the perfect balance of convenience and tranquility.Dave & Shannon have created a truly special retreat. Between the immaculate property, comfortable accommodations, excellent amenities, and the incredible pool and hot tub, this was one of the best vacation rentals we've experienced. We highly recommend The Escapes and would gladly stay here again!

Our family had such a wonderful stay! Only a couple of small issues which were addressed immediately. Dave and Shannon are fantastic hosts! Shannon even sent cookies for my birthday! Would definitely recommend this place or any other place that Dave and Shannon host!

We absolutely loved our stay here. Our three young kids were blown away when they saw the flamingo float in the pool. There was literally anything you could ever need available at the house which was beautiful and clean. The beach wagon was a huge plus!! We are already talking about coming back and staying here again!

We had such a great stay here! It’s less than a 5-minute walk to the beach, which was perfect with kids. They loved the pool, hot tub, and fire pit!The upstairs suite with the balcony was amazing and such a nice place to relax. This house was somehow even better than the pictures and the five-star reviews! No detail was left undone—every thoughtful touch made the stay feel warm, welcoming, and truly like home. The welcome s’mores kit was such a fun and memorable surprise, and even small conveniences (like the dishwasher already preloaded with a detergent tab) showed how intentional and guest-focused the hosts are.The how-to video instructions made using everything around the house effortless, and the digital house manual was incredibly helpful and well organized. They truly thought of everything to make guests feel comfortable and cared for. It was so hard to leave this sweet haven, and we would absolutely love to stay here again!

In the 6 years that we’ve traveled to the Destin area, this house is by far the favorite! It truly had it all- private backyard with a pool, hot tub, sandbox, fire pit, picnic area & plenty of areas to lounge. The house was clean & spacious enough for our group to spread out. A huge perk for us traveling from out of state, was how all-inclusive the house was. Not only did they have a pack n play for the toddler, fans for the bedrooms, kids kitchenware, but they also had all the little things you don’t even think of: spices, oils, aluminum foil, baggies, hot cocoa/tea/coffee bar & a s’mores kit for the kids! It truly felt like we had the most thoughtful hosts. We will definitely stay here again.

Smart, thoughtful, beautifully curated and clean. My sister-in-law usually gets the places to stay but this time I picked it because it was her grandmother's funeral and I wanted to take that off of her plate. The main reason why I picked the Escapes by Dave & Shannon was the couch. This place has ample seating the decor made it feel restful and peaceful. Hands down this is the best place my family has ever stayed at. You need nothing to stay; tissues, paper towels, coffee bar, dishwasher detergent, etc. They take pets which is huge and are hard to find. We were home but away from home. I truly appreciate this listing because it made a hard time comfortable. In fact my sister wants to stay at Dave's other properties. I would give this place 20 stars if I could. Thank You!!

Highly recommend staying at Dave and Shannon’s lovely house! My extended family had a memorable week celebrating Thanksgiving and two birthdays together. This place is absolutely amazing and beautifully decorated! Dave and Shannon have thought of everything from the fully stocked kitchen, wide variety of coffee capsules to the s’mores for the kids. The second day of our stay they delivered new sets of pots and pans, new cappuccino mugs and lots of other kitchen utensils. This was super nice of them. Also, the hosts were very friendly as well and kept great communication for any information we needed to know. We spend a lot of time in the private and fenced backyard that was a huge plus for our bernedoodle. The kids really enjoyed the heated pool and hot tub. Great neighborhood, 5 mins walk to the beach, and short drive to the stores. Thank you Dave and Shannon for sharing your beautiful home with us! We would love to stay here again!

The Escapes by Dave was exactly as listed! The house was great - everything you need, extra blankets, comfy couch and beds, plenty of room to hang out with the open floor plan. I forgot to pay to heat the pool/tub but the host was responsive and helped me figure out how to pay and turned the heat on ASAP - heated super quickly as well! The backyard is a great hang out - pool, hot tub, and patio all well-appointed so you can all hang out comfortably. The host allowed a late check out, which was so kind, and really felt like it extended our trip! The walk to the beach is five minutes and the wagon and beach chairs made for such an easy trip! Not a ton of walkable restaurants, but very short drive to restaurants and the grocery store was also very close. They also supply olive oil, salt, pepper, and other spices - helpful so you can cook without buying those things that you won't use up. Grill worked perfectly, pool noodles/toys/towels also helpful. Great stay, would book again!

This house was absolutely perfect for a large group! Especially with kids. The pool & backyard were amazing! It’s in a great location & an easy walk to the beach. There is a storage building out back that has everything you need for the beach…toys, cooler, chairs, wagon, etc. You don’t have to travel with anything because they have it all! We brought our boat down for fishing & the driveway is plenty big enough. Kitchen is stocked with everything you need if planning to cook meals at home. Dave & Shannon were great hosts & very responsive to anything we asked! We can’t wait stay here again!

The home is way more gorgeous than the pictures can even capture. The beautiful Destin beach was just a few minutes walk away, and they have everything you could possibly need for the best beach day. The pool, hot tub, and rooms were AMAZING and we thoroughly enjoyed them all. My two elementary school kids had an absolute blast every day and didn't want to leave. As soon as I needed ANYTHING, the hosts were quick to respond and help. I would 100% recommend to anyone, and I'll 10/10 be visiting this home again!

My family had an amazing time staying at this home. With the pool, fire pit area, grill, and sand box there was plenty for the family to do without having to leave. Dave and Shannon were also extremely friendly and kept good communication about the home and any information we needed to know. The home also had everything we needed such as multiple pack and plays and high chairs for our toddler and beach chairs, wagons, and a cooler for the beach. My family and I would definitely love to stay at this home again.

We try to get all the kids together once a year to catch up, bond, be the family we want to have time for. Escapes By Dave was the perfect place. Beautiful house, great pool, LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION. Minutes to restaurants, shopping, even had a super charger near by for the times I needed a big charge.
